Housing help in Dudley

People trying to get on the housing ladder in Dudley could get cut price Barratt homes.

It's part of a Government part-ownership scheme which lets people buy for 70% of the purchase price.

Some flats and houses have already been built; others are due for completion towards the end of the year.

First-time buyers, key workers and people who've owned homes before but now find they can't will be able to apply for the properties.

One, two and three bedroom flats and two and three bedroom homes will be on offer.

Mark Clare, chief executive of Barratt Developments, said: "Customers will be buying into the market at today's prices, not the high 2007 prices."

"And the loan for 30 per cent of the property's value makes it even easier for them finally to own the roof over their heads.''
