The Pie Factor
Four of the best recipes, which put the theme of Love Food Hate Waste in a nutshell, have now been selected by a panel of judges including Mad O’Rourkes head chef, Desperate Dawn, as well as representatives from the Black Country Councils, Beacon Radio’s Fresh & Jo, and the Love Food Hate Waste campaign.
The 4 finalists and their pies are:
- Rachel Huskisson from Wolverhampton with her Grorty Pudding Pie
- Amy Williams from Tipton with Amy's Spicy Beef Pie
- Nicola Hickman from Lower Gornal with the Kick Ass Chicken Cheese and Chilli Pie
- Darcy Laceby from Wolverhampton with her BBQ Pork Pie
The four pies are now available from the Mad O’Rourkes chain until 27th September and pie fans can vote for their favourite.
The entrant who suggests the most popular pie will win a place on a cookery course for two with top London chef Theo Randall who inspired Jamie Oliver. The prize will include £200 spending money towards travel and accommodation.
The winner will be announced on 28 September.
