Local Competitions

Here is a list of the terms and conditions for local competitions currently running on this radio station.

RULES

The following rules (“Rules”) together with Orion Media ("Mercia") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at www.mercia.co.uk apply to ‘BT Vision’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from Monday 19th July 2010 to Friday 23rd July 2010 (“the Duration”).  The "Radio Station" is Mercia

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.

1) Details of the Competition

1.1 To enter the Competition an Entrant must listen to the pre recorded clues that The Breakfast with Andy Goulding Show plays, and if they believe, after hearing the clues, that they can correctly identify the famous footballer, text the keyword TV followed by a space and their ANSWER to 87867.  Text messages will be charged at 25p plus standard network rates. The opening and closing time of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.

1.2 One entrant will be selected at random from the correct entries received after the text message line has closed and will be brought to air to be announced as the winner.  If an entrant does not answer their phone or is not contactable when called by the presenters, the station reserves the right to randomly select another correct entry until a winner is announced and the original entrant will be disqualified. 

1.3 The winner will be the entrant that correctly identifies the famous footballer and who is announced on the air as the winner.

2) Eligibility

2.1 Entrants will be invited to enter via text as directed by the presenters on air.  Text lines will be open for five (10) minutes from the point of being open.  Texts received after this period of time will not be eligible for the competition but may still be charged. 

2.2 Entrants must reside in the Radio Station’s analogue FM broadcast area. Entrants must be United Kingdom residents

2.3 Any employees of Orion, their immediate family or any other persons directly connected with the Competition are 2.5 Notwithstanding that a winner has been declared, if Orion discovers before the delivery of the Prize that for any reason under these Rules or the Terms and Conditions the winner should have been ineligible to enter the Competition unable to enter into the competition.

2.4 Only one entry per person per round of the Competition is allowed.

or the entry should have been declared invalid, Orion reserves the right to disqualify the winner.

2.6 If the Winner or any member of the winner’s family residing at the same address (including, but not limited to, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents etc.) is found to have won a Prize on any Orion Radio Station (including Mercia) within the last six months with a prize value of £500 or greater, The Radio Station reserves the right to withhold or reclaim the Prize from the Winner. The Radio Station’s decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into.

2.7 An Entrant must participate in the Competition himself or herself. In the event that a party other than the Entrant attempts to enter the Competition on behalf of that Entrant (whether disclosed or not), that entry will be forfeited and no Prize will be delivered.

2.8 For each round of the Competition The Radio Station reserves the right to reselect another random Entrant if any Entrant’s Telephone line drops out or fails due to any other technical reason or if when called back the Entrant is not available themselves or does not answer their phone or diverts to their voice mail. In this event the selected Entrant forfeits their chance to play in the round they entered for. The Radio Station reserves the absolute right to disqualify any entrant to the Competition which it considers has used improper technical means to enter.

2.9 Orion and the Participating Radio Station shall not be responsible for any failure on behalf of an Entrant whose completed entry is not received

3) Prize

3.1 1 x Samsung 32 inch LCD HD Ready TV and choice of football shirt (international or UK based, subject to availability) per winner.

3.2 Orion Media reserves the right to substitute the prize.

3.3 Prize is as stated, no cash equivalent is available.

3.4 Please allow 28 days from the end of the competition week for delivery of the Prize.
