Win with Owl City
Owl City is the brainchild of Adam Young, who launched the project in 2007 while living at his parents' home in Owatonna, Minnesota.
Troubled by insomnia, Adam began spending his evenings in the basement where a computer and several instruments provided a welcome diversion from his sleeping patterns. He eventually combined those into a blend of electronica and emo-pop, using little more than his computer and various keyboards to record the material. Songs were uploaded to MySpace and he began attracting a surprising amount of attention on the site.
His debut album 'Ocean Eyes' is a smart and cleverly-crafted collection of tunes, sung deeply and meaningfully by a man with a drive and conviction behind his lyrics. The second second to be taken from the album is 'Umbrella Beach' a full on uplifting dance stomper.
