Oldbury Murder Victim
The family of a Black Country man, who was murdered last week, have released a photo of him in an attempt to encourage more witnesses to come forward.
57-year-old Charles Kelly died on Friday 16th July in hospital from multiple stab wounds, after being found outside his home on Marshall Road in Oldbury just before 10pm.
The family of Mr Kelly have also issued the following tribute:
“Husband of 38 years and a very proud family man of 6 children and 9 grandchildren, who loved him dearly and he was liked by all that knew him.”
The father of six lived at home with his wife, son and son’s girlfriend.
Two men aged 50 and 40 years have been arrested in connection with Mr Kelly’s murder. They have both been bailed pending further inquiries.
Chief Inspector Sarbjit Johal from the Force Criminal Investigation department is leading the investigation. He said:
“We have carried out house to house queries, CCTV trawls and extensive forensic searches have taken place. A family liaison officer has also been appointed to help support the family at this difficult time.
“I would urge anyone with information, no matter how big or small, to come forward and let us or Crimestoppers know ASAP.
“Information given through Crimestoppers is treated in the strictest of confidence and there are a number of measures that we can take to protect your identity.”
