Get a Share of £50,000

Beacon Radio has teamed up with the v Charity to fund young volunteering opportunities in the community. Find out below how to apply.

Our partners v, the youth volunteering charity, whose aim is to inspire a new generation of young volunteers aged 16–25 year olds to get involved in volunteering and community action. v's aim is to create a culture where it is natural for young people to volunteer and natural for organisations to support them in doing so, because the benefits of volunteering are wide for both individuals and the communities concerned.

So what does that mean?
It means more young people on community radio, more young people improving the environment, more young people running sports clubs, more young people helping out with charity activities, more young people taking part in music, arts and film projects – basically more young people giving their time and talents to improve the communities right here in the Beacon Radio area.

Are you a not for profit organisation?
Could you turn up to £10,000 into volunteer opportunities?
We've got £50,000 to fund activities / projects and we are looking for organisations that can put forward proposals to engage young people, aged 16-25 to volunteer in new and creative projects that will benefit the community. Not for profit and non state funded organisation can apply for up to £10,000.
