Blind Drive 2010 (charity)

Blind Drive 2010 at RAF Cosford on Sunday 1st August raising funds for Beacon Centre for the Blind and St John Ambulance. Drive a dual controlled car around a course designed by RAF Cosford, blindfolded with a qualified driving instructor. All we ask is that you pay a £5 registration fee then raise a minimum of £50 or £25 for children aged 10-16 (Children taking part must be able to reach the pedals). Blind Drive Challenge 2010 (charity)

St John Ambulance and Beacon Centre for the Blind are holding a sponsored driving event at RAF Cosford, in Shifnal, on Sunday 1 August and invite the public to sign up to help raise valuable funds for both charities.

Navigate a specially mapped out course in a duel controlled car, whilst blindfolded! This is a great family day out as participants must be ten upwards and be able to reach the peddles of the car to take part.

There will be a bbq, fun games and events on the day with places filling up quickly so call ASAP to ensure your place!

Simply call 01905 363542 for a registration form or visit www.sja.org.uk/wmids and download a form from the fundraising section. Registration for the event is £5 and there is a minimum sponsorship fee of £50 for adults and £25 for under 16's.

Firefly Music Festival (Music)

The idea for Firefly Festival came about one balmy evening last summer around a campfire. We decided we wanted to create a festival with some really good bands, the best of new ones emerging, locally and nationally maintaining an intimate and friendly atmosphere in beautiful surrounding countryside with camping in the field next door.
We are proud of our eclectic and exciting line up, ranging from the internationally renowned Scott Matthews, NME’s ‘new favorites’ Chew Lips, Ivor Novello nominee Patch William, some fierce local talent such as Apples and Muchuu and popular DJs to see us through the night. The Festival is on the 31st. July - 1st. August 2010 at Elton, 5 miles from Ludlow. Music will run from 2pm on Saturday to the early hours of Sunday. Tickets available from website only! No tickets will be sold on the door! Hurry though as tickets are strictly limited!
