Man charged with Willenhall Murder
A 28 year-old man has been charged with the murder of Jagjit Singh Villkhu.
He is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Saturday 28 Jan.
Officers attended the location – an area of park land between Villiers Street and St Anne’s Road – after receiving an emergency call shortly before 12:30am on 24 January.
A 26 year-old man who was arrested in connection with the murder remains on bail.
Detectives are also appealing for clothing believed to have been worn by offenders during the attack.
Officers are looking to locate a green and black Regatta fleece or jacket and a grey hooded jacket that have been discarded.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Bullman from Force CID in Bloxwich has been leading the investigation.
He said: “If anybody has found either of these items of clothing, maybe near the fields, maybe thrown in a rubbish bin, perhaps left at the side of the road or in a garden, I would ask you get in touch with police as soon as possible.”
Anybody who might have found either of these items of clothing are asked to contact Force CID in Bloxwich on the non emergency 101 number.
